Zero percent interest credit cards will always come with what’s called one or more built-in nullifiers. These are clauses and legalese that serve to take away benefits that the headline and copy gives. For instance, the copy promises absolutely no interest on charge card purchases for the first six months. The nullifier, in small print, “clarifies” that if the consumer charges more than $1000 for a purchase, he becomes ineligible for the zero percent interest rate.
Many people do to find no interest credit cards is to find a third party entity to either negotiate with their charge card company to lower their existing rates or to obtain no interest credit cards. The BBB reports that it has received a number of complaints from dissatisfied consumers who paid for these services.
