Installing outdoor lighting doesn’t always have to require a huge time investment and a electrician’s degree to get it done right. In fact, for great functional lighting there are several easy to install outdoor patio solar lights that you can use, and best of all they won’t break the bank either! There are more great fixtures than are on this list, but these are three of the best.
First up are patio umbrella lights. Lights don’t get much easier to install than these, especially if you buy the lights with the umbrella in a package. All that you have to do is take the umbrella out of the box and place it in an umbrella stand where you’ll be sitting down on your patio. After that the solar panels on the top of the umbrella will start collecting and storing the sun’s rays until you need them. At night when you need them, you can switch these lights on and enjoy the glow of a disc of LED lights that will give you enough light to do whatever it is you want to do.
Along the same lines, table lights are also an easy to install lighting option for your patio. For these lights, all that you need to do is place them on the top of a table in a sunny area to let them charge up. Then at night, you can switch them on for dining, reading, playing cards, or anything else. Just be careful that the light doesn’t get blown away, otherwise you’ll be left with a broken fixtures!
If you want more ambient lighting than lighting over your tables and chairs, you can place a lantern attached to a shepherd’s hook anywhere where you think people may be congregating on your patio. The shepherd’s hook is free-standing so all that you have to do is stick it wherever you want it and forget about it. Even if you place it in the wrong position, it’s easy to move!
If you want an easy to install option for lighting up your patio at night, these three solar light fixtures are a great place to start.
