When I was a kid I liked to play baseball. Many times I practiced in my backyard. One day I hit the ball into my neighbor’s window. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to have to admit to this but I knew that it was the right thing to do. So I went to their front door and told them what had happened and offered to do any type of chores that they would have me do in order to make up for the window replacement. I was grateful because they were not incredibly angry with me. They told me that I was a good kid because I came to them and admitted to this. They even told me that I didn’t need to do anything for them because I’ve been so brave in coming to them and not trying to deny having done this. I told them then I didn’t mind doing something to make up for their lost window. I even offered to wash their cars, which they finally gave in to me doing.
