If you’ve just spent a lot of money on a brand new conservatory, you’ll want to make sure it looks good, for when the Joneses come round to visit. The problem is that conservatories aren’t cheap, and there usually isn’t a lot of money left over to buy furnishings – this is particularly true of blinds, which can cost a lot if you want to cover ever single window.

One of the windows that is often forgotten is the roof. But if you are a bit handy, it’s very easy to knock up a set of your own DIY conservatory roof blinds that really pass muster. They are quite tricky to install, because they are a lot different to regular, vertical blinds, but the sense of satisfaction of knowing that you have made your own blinds is impossible to put a price on.

On the other hand, if you hate the Joneses, you could always do a really shoddy job of installing your roof blinds – that way they might fall on top of them when they come to visit!
