The Benefits of Plastic Storage

Ever since I took up a beading hobby a few years ago, I’ve bought up enough plastic storage bins of various kinds to fill a room of my house. Because I need a separate container for every one of my different types of beads, buttons, and custom pieces, this amounts to an amazing collection of bins. But I wouldn’t really store them any other way, as the benefits of plastic storage vastly outweigh using custom containers or any other material, in my opinion.

My biggest reason for liking these containers is that they are transparent, so I don’t need to mark every single container with a description of what’s in them. I have some friends who spend a ton of their time doing just that and it’s a complete waste. I would rather be doing anything else, and that’s exactly what these containers allow me to do.

And this isn’t just for small pieces either. My husband uses larger bins for his video game console storage and this works just as well for him too. We have books stored in larger boxes, christmas decorations, and expensive dishware all kept in boxes like these. It works for all of them.

They are also extremely easy to tuck into a corner and forget about until we need them. They’re very, well, square, and so they fit like building blocks into just about any space we need them to go into. No hassle with trying to find room – just stack one on top of the other! Then with the clear sides it’s almost like a huge shelving unit in our attic – we just find what we need, pull it out, and put it back when we’re done. It’s practically that simple.

If you’re looking for a simple way to keep a lot of different things, then I’d certainly suggest looking around at a department store next time you’re out. Plastic storage is the best way to do it, in my opinion!
