There was a time when it was next to impossible to catch me without a wrist watch on. Putting a watch on was part of my morning routine. Especially after I had a long layover at the airport in Salt Lake City and found the watch of my dreams in one of the gift shops. Plus I thought it was cool I purchased it while traveling.
I had the watch for years, and replaced the battery several times, and the band once or twice. Then one day the band broke, and I just never bothered to replace it. Technology had advanced, and I realized I didn’t miss having my watch, because I could find the time anywhere. I always had my cell phone with me and it has the time on it.
I always have my GPS in my car and it has world time. And now I can even check the time with my Kindle. If you are reading your Kindle, and time seemed to pass quickly. but you don’t know by how much, just press Alt-T or press the search button and enter @time, you will also get the date as well. Oops, time to go.
