Most people know what yoga is, but most people have not heard of hot yoga, which is a specialized and more intense version of yoga. While the actual stretches and poses that they do in hot yoga isn’t more intense, the room that they do it in is more intense. The room is over 100 degrees and the humidity factor is 40%, and that definitely make it more intense. If you have ever used a sauna, you’ll be able to get some of the same benefits from doing hot yoga as you would from the sauna, plus a solid workout as well. The problem with hot yoga is that you need to make sure that you are wearing the right kind of clothes, or it will be a brutal experience for you.
Getting specific hot clothes for doing hot yoga in is the key. You’ll want to make sure that you are getting outfits that are made out of a really breathable fabric. I would definitely recommend sticking with 100% cotton, which will allow your body to breath as it sweats out the toxins. You will also want to make sure that you get clothes are that are shorter. Don’t go walking in with long sleeves and long legged pants. Not only will you look out of place, but you’ll also have a brutal time because of the the heat. You’ll want to make sure that you wear shorter sleeved outfits, or even a tank top or other sleeveless shirt. You’ll also want to wear shorts and capris at the very least, because those will help your body to not be as covered up, allowing to maximum comfort despite the heat and humidity.
Hot yoga is definitely not for everyone, but if you’re going to try and do it, then you’ll definitely want to make sure you are wearing the right kinds of clothes, or else you will maybe never want to do hot yoga again because the heat will just be too much in the wrong type of clothes.
