I recently went to a wedding trade show and saw wedding flip flops that were more than $100. I kept wondering why they were so expensive so I spoke to the woman that was selling them. She told me that the reason why hers were more expensive were because she used Swarovski crystals to decorate them. She also said that her flip flops were really high quality. I took a look at the crystals and they were very pretty. However, I took a look at her shoes and they were the same quality shoes that I had on. They were just flip flops with rubber soles.
I next went to a booth of another woman who was selling her bridal flip flops for $75. Again, this was a very expensive price for a pair of flip flops that you may only wear once on your wedding day. I spoke to her about her flip flops and even asked her to compare them to the ones’ in the first booth. Again, she said that hers were of a very high quality and she even said that each one was hand made so she would work with the bride to figure out what type of design that the bride wanted. Then, she would make that shoe for the bride.
My conclusion? Go to the nearest store and buy a pair of regular flip flops. They don’t have to be called wedding flip flops to be perfect for your own wedding. The word wedding makes them 3 times the price of what they should be.
