If you’ve ever considered aluminum door awnings for your home or place of business, you are probably familiar with the fact that there are a few standard styles that you can choose from. What you may not know is that each of these styles is named after the American town that they were predominately used. For example, we have the Chicago, which is short and rounded, the New Yorker, which is a squarer shape, and popular out the front of hotels, the savannah, which is rounded like the Chicago, but bent down like an umbrella more, and the San Francisco, which lays closer to the window, giving it more protection.
My personal favourite is the Savannah, it has a very romantic feel to it, and reminds me of the cafes in Paris. I actually had one installed recently on my front door, and it looks just charming.
