The perfect accent to any deck is the incorporation of beautiful deck lights. With a well thought out plan, buying and installing your lights will be very easy. Generally lights are installed on the post caps and flush on the vertical part of each stair. Solar lights are available that have their own solar cells on top so no wiring is needed. Wiring traditional lighting set ups isn’t difficult, either. Holes are drilled into the post caps to mount the light and have space for it to fit inside. Diagonal holes are then drilled from the sides of the post cap into the top holes already drilled for the wire to pass through. Wires are hidden on the underside of the railing so they are completely out of site and can’t be snagged on anything.
