Dealing with Sleeplessness

Quality sleep is important to you physical and mental health. Worries, life stresses and illnesses can cause sleeplessness and lead to sleep disorders. If you have trouble falling asleep every night, improving your sleep environment is a good first step to fitting the problem of sleeplessness.

Make your bedroom a place to sleep. Your bedroom should not be set up as an office or a TV room. There should be no distractions such as a TV, computers, or even a telephone in the room, which will offer stimulation to your brain and take your focus off sleep.

You want to train your mind and body so that when you step into your bedroom, they body will “know” its time to go to sleep and to switch to sleep mode. Once your body is trained, you will find that it is easier for you to fall asleep as soon as you enter your bedroom. After awhile, you are on your way to eliminate your sleep disorders.
