Spend some time outdoors.

Instead of just lurking in your dark and gloomy bedroom, lace up your shoes and start walking outside. You can do this either with your pet dog or with your friend or partner. Exploit the healing power of nature by allowing it to give you relief. The outdoors will not only open your eyes wide and realize that there is so much more to life than just sitting, crying and worrying. Feel the warmth of fresh air and the sound of the leaves of the trees. These are just few of the many reason why life is so worth living for.

Pamper yourself.

Pampering yourself does not have to mean that you need to spend a lot of money. Try to soak yourself in a bubble bath, while listening to your favorite music. You can also read an inspirational book and allow yourself to be inspired by the thoughts, advice and quotes that it provides. It would also be better if you read something funny. This way, laughing your heart out would be just so easy.

Stay away from alcohol and nicotine.

Drinking alcohol and smoking one cigarette after another will only do you more harm than good. If you think that these things offer temporary relief, you are definitely wrong! These things will only make you wallow in anxiety and depression because its after effects are worse than what you felt before you had them.
